2. The test reports shall certify compliance with the requirements of this Section for the actual product included in the bid.

3. Manufacturer's printed technical performance data.

4. Reverberation time:

a. Acceptable calculations estimating what the reverberation time will be if the specified areas were left untreated and what the guaranteed reverberation time will be after the metal panel sound absorption system is installed.

b. The reverberation time specified must be an achieved.

1.04 Submittals

A. Comply with the requirements of Division 1, Section 01300, Submittals.

B. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's product descriptions and specifications for wall panel cover system.

C. Samples: Submit full size of wall panel minimum of 12" long showing straight edge detail with an attached suspension system and trim member in the specified finish.

D. (Optional) Mock-up: Submit a full size production quality wall panel. Mock-up shall include all required accessories for a complete installation, including brackets and trims if shown on architectural drawings.

E. Shop Drawings:

1. Provide properly dimensioned shop drawings showing panel layout. Show all locations, markings, quantities, materials, sizes and shapes and indicate all methods of connecting, anchoring, fastening, bracing and attaching to work of other trades. Shop drawing submittals to be on computer aided design systems and furnished on computer disks. System shall be compatible with that of the architect.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 MATERIALS

A. Project design is based on materials and systems of Ceilings Plus, Los Angeles, CA 800-822-3411, www.ceilingsplus.com

Other manufacturers must be approved prior to the bid in written form, by the architect. Specified manufacturer's standard of quality and manufacturing tolerances shall be criteria for evaluating "equivalent" product.

2.02 METAL WALL PANELS

A. System "WallForms", metal wall panel system. Attachment hardware to be provided.

B. Size: As indicated on architectural drawings. All wall panels will be factory fabricated with returned edges on all sides. Returns shall be minimum 2".

C. Construction:

1. Panels shall be totally self-contained and shall be finished to protect the acoustical fill material. Panels shall be factory braked formed to four sided pan configuration and sizes and details as shown on the drawings. Panel corners shall be formed tightly without gap or overlap. Deformation at corners will not be allowed.

2. The panel face perforation shall be custom designed to architectural requirements with open area of approximately 20%.

3. Panels will be constructed from a single sheet of minimum .062" aluminum. Material shall be free from surface blemishes in finished unit. Finish of aluminum should be per the architect's selection.

4. Acoustical fill: Fiber glass insulation with fire resistant properties described in paragraph D below and shall conform to required NRC values. to fit within individual metal wall panels. Fiberglas shall have a factory painted matte black face.

D. Finish: Perforated metal facings shall be painted in a finish to match architect's sample.

E. Fire Hazard performance:

1. Panel components shall meet the noncombustible material requirements of Class One.

F. Acoustical performances:

1. Metal wall panels shall be laboratory tested in accordance with ASTM C423 for sound absorption.

2. Shall provide an absorption coefficient of NRC .85. Test shall be in accordance with mounting per ASTM E-795.

2.03 ATTACHMENT SYSTEM

A. Support system shall be designed to accommodate wall panels. Panels shall be removable without the use of special tools.

B. Construction:

1. Attachment system: Install primary channel runners to existing wall substrates using appropriate drywall or concrete anchor screws or bolts as recommended by the manufacturer. Shim and level runners as necessary prior to panel installation. Install runners in a continuous horizontal row, patterns as dictated by panel joint layout as reflected on the architectural plans and approved shop drawings. Attach insulation pad to metal pans prior to panel installation. Install metal panels by engaging onto channel supports and locking down in place. Panels and trim shall be installed plumb and true without distortion. Exposed fasteners of any kind will not be acceptable.

2. Horizontal seams allowed only where indicated on plans.

3. Positive alignment lips to be provided to maintain tight hairline joints.

4. Anchors and inserts: furnish anchoring devices as required for installation of column covers.

5. Factory fabricate and finish all components to the satisfaction of the architect. The installation system shall allow for removable components without the use of exposed fasteners, hardware or supports. All brackets and hardware shall be illustrated on shop drawings.
