Affordable
Radians® is manufactured from custom designed, patented, CNC manufacturing
equipment that produces curving ceiling panels quickly and with precision.
Computer-controlled CNC machinery reduces the production time and dramatically
lowers the cost of curving metal ceilings.
Finishes
Ceilings Plus offers a wide variety of finishes applied to aluminum. Ceilings
Plus will explore unique finish selections by the request of the architect.
Consult factory for possibilities.
 |
Metal Finishes
Ceilings Plus manufactures from painted, anodized aluminum and stainless
steel. Other unique metal finishes are available. See Metal Finishes.
|
 |
Wood Finishes
Ceilings Plus has developed two new wood finishes Arboreal and
Sarante which easily shape to the curves of Radians®.
Before these finishes were introduced, the cost and practical considerations
of using conventional wood ceilings limited their use. Thats
why at Ceilings Plus we reimagined what a wood ceiling can be. See Wood Finishes.

Luminous
Radians® can be illuminated from light sources above. Fluorescent
lights mounted above the suspended Radians® ceiling in an enclosed
plenum will create a luminous effect. The selection of the percentage
opening of the perforations will control the light level desired.
Contact Ceilings Plus for more information.

Panel Surface Quality
The distinguishing characteristic of Radians® is the flatness of the
curving panel. The structural integrity and overall quality is achieved
by the integral 1-1/2 panel returns on all 4 sides.
Accessible
Radians® is an integrated ceiling system consisting of panels, grid
and associated hardware. The ceiling system allows access to the space
above at every location. Heavy-Duty torsion spring clip assemblies mounted
to the panels allow for complete downward access to the plenum without
distorting the panel.
Ceiling Lighting/ HVAC
Radians® can accommodate pendant mount, linear, incandescent and nearly
all lighting elements. HVAC interface details are available. Contact Ceilings
Plus regarding integration of these and other elements.
Acoustics
Noise reduction may be achieved by perforating the surface, and combining
with absorptive backing. A variety of sound absorbing backings are available,
Ceilings Plus can supply absorbing material which can achieve NRC values
ranging from .70-.95. Consult factory for more guidance. To learn more
about acoustics, see Acoustics in the Learning Center for
more information.
Perforations
A variety of round, square, rectangular and custom perforation patterns
are available to meet the project requirements. See Wood Perforations and Metal Perforations.
Shapes/ Radii
The Radians® panel can be curved to a 14" to 100 radius.
A variety of radii can be designed to create serpentine, arc or undulating
shapes.
Sizes
Panels are available in a variety of sizes to suit project requirements.
The panels are manufactured in widths from 1 to 5. The suggested
panel widths, for maximum value are 2-6 and 3-6.
Panel lengths can be fabricated up to 10 (Consult factory if longer
panels are required.)
Light Reflectance
Radians® ceiling is available in a high light white reflectance finish.
See Metal Finishes. Consult factory
for specifics.
Test Reports
Ceilings Plus has developed The Radians® ceiling systems to meet ASTM
635, ASTM 636 and typical local building code requirements. Test reports
for suspension system and finish performance are available upon request.
Class I Fire Rated
Radians® product line, curving metal, wood and luminous ceilings are
Class I, 0-25 Flame Spread as tested in accordance with ASTM E84.
Exterior
Radians® can be specified for an exterior application using specific
materials as noted in the Wood Finishes and Metal Finishes.
Consult the factory regarding specific wind load requirements for exterior
applications.
