Computer-controlled CNC machinery reduces the production time and lowers the cost of column covers. Finishes Ceilings Plus offers a wide variety of finishes applied to aluminum. Metal Ceilings Plus manufactures from painted, anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Other unique metal finishes are available. See Metal Finishes. Wood Ceilings Plus has developed two new wood finishes which easily adapt to a variety of shapes. Before these finishes were introduced, the cost and practical considerations of using conventional wood ceilings limited their use. That’s why at Ceilings Plus we reimagined what a wood ceiling can be. See Wood Finishes. Panel Surface Quality The distinguishing characteristic of Columnar™ is the smoothness of the panel. The structural integrity and overall quality is achieved by the integral 1-1/2” minimum side return. Interfaces Columnar™ can accommodate penetrations, base details and other interfaces. Shapes/Sizes The Columnar™ panel can be manufactured in virtually any diameter greater than 8” by 12’ lengths. If longer lengths are required Ceilings Plus will use splice joints, hairline joint detail. Test Reports Ceilings Plus has developed Columnar™ to meet national and local building code requirements. Interior/Exterior Columnar™ can be specified for an interior or exterior application. Consult the factory regarding specific wind load requirements for exterior applications. Class I Fire Rated Columnar™ product line, metal and wood, are Class I, 0-25 Flame Spread as tested in accordance with ASTM E84. Exterior Columnar™ can be specified for an exterior application using specific materials as noted in the Wood Finishes and Metal Finishes.
